About The Site

This site supports a minimum resolution of 800x600, although 1024x768 is recommended. The two synoptic charts that are integrated into the site are slightly wider than 800 pixels and as such we would recommend using the higher resolution.

During development and ongoing upgrades the site is tested using Netscape Navigator 6.0 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0. The site should also work satisfactorily with IE5 or IE5.5 but we haven't been able to test with these versions of the browser. If you would like to upgrade your browser, please click on the relevant logo below:

Internet Explorer
Netscape Navigator

We have developed the server side elements of this site using PHP and MYSQL. In order to speed up the development process we have initially made use of some third party components. Many of these have been heavily customised and we intend to replace these over time with our own versions.

For further information on the components we have used, please refer to the following sites:

Finally this site is hosted at Haisoft.net who provide excellent value for money and quality customer service and support. We cannot recommend them enough.

If you have any questions about how this site is built or have identified any problems that we have missed, then please to contact us.

To see a complete history of how MountainDays.net has developed over time then take a look at the site history page. You can also find out more information about the site author on the about us page.
