When planning trips its always useful to get first hand information from people that have been there before. So to help with this we've created two resources to enable all our users to share information about mountains & routes they've climbed in the UK and beyond.
The first is the Rock Climbing & Mountaineering Route Database where you can read about rock climbs, scrambles, hill walks, winter climbs and mountaineering routes that other users have completed. You can also log your own routes and add comments to existing entries.
The second is the UK Mountain Database which contains details of all peaks in the UK over 150m, including maps, grid references and links to other Internet resources. You can also select a peak from the database and create a route in the Route Database, a great way of creating your own tick lists.
The Route Database is open to all, allowing you to share your own climbs & mountaineering routes with other users of MountainDays.net.
Please feel free to log your own routes or add comments to existing entries. You can view the routes by region or via your own custom search.
The Mountain Database contains details of all peaks in the UK over 150m / 500ft, including maps and links to related routes in the Route Database.
You can browse the database using all the popular tick lists, including Munro's and Wainwright's. In addition to this you can search for peaks via geographical area or using your own custom search.

There are various other sites on the web with details of walks and climbs from around the world. We've included links to some of the best below. If you know of other sites that you think we should include here then feel free to suggest a link.
