Derby Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary search and rescue organisation covering the southern Peak District but has been involved in callouts as far afield as Wales and Scotland. The team's main function is the search and rescue of injured walkers or climbers, and has assisted in other areas, such as searches for vulnerable people in rural areas. The team are trained for many different types of incidents ranging from crag rescue through to searches for missing people.
