os26 or explorer 416. start at nh 558387. follow rough track southeast for 1.5km to 566377. south up hillside to old fence. east along fence to trig point on top. best to return by same route, as descent north to track requires avoiding steep parts of hillside.

suitable as first hillwalk for 5-year old grandchildren. estimated 5km inc return, & 180m ascent including 100m off-track up final hillside. some wet patches. good all-round views at top. easy 3 hour walk inc several stops. some flowers, caterpillars & birds.
