Parking is found at the top end of the Res called Cantref Res on the A470 (Very Fast road) the large Cwm opposite is Cwm Crew, an amazing Cwm stretching about 2.8 miles to the Craig Fan Ddu ridge. Best walking is found on the left hand side of the Cwm, Jump over a Farm type metal Gate, & head towards the stream, but make your way up river towards a man made water fall, a stile is found above by the water fall, walk along fenced area (watch out path is dodgy) & then climb up steeply to Cefn crew, faint paths on each side of the Cefn crew ridge lead to top of Craig Fan Ddu ridge near to Bwlch at Corn Du, follow selection of paths to Pen-y-fan summit or Corn Du, on return, come back down over Craig Fan Ddu ridge towards Cwm Crew, to a location known on map as Cefn Cul, head along top of Cwm Crew here, keep high on Cwm top, walk down towards a coniferous wood, when you reach this wood, descend very steep Cwm embankment to river, exit Cwm over stiles to road
